I began my political career in 2000 by getting elected to the City Council. I have served in the Senate since 2004. I am a native to my state and am a graduate of Harvard. I have a wonderful husband, to whom I have been married for 15 years. We have been blessed with two children and a spirited Beagle named Skip.
I believe our state is full of hard-working and deserving citizens. My work in the Senate is geared toward making sure our state rewards our people for their efforts and gives them the chance to succeed. It is an honor to work in the United States Senate on behalf of my constituents and our great state.
